Abstract:

The DMMSM model helps organizations become more proficient in managing critical data assets to improve operations, enable analytics and gain competitive advantage. The DMM model serves as a catalyst and a platform for the growth of a global community of professionals and practitioners who are committed to advancing the state of the practice. In the current era of global business where information and access reign supreme, the companies that are able to leverage their corporate data assets to the fullest are the companies where people flourish.

The DMMSM model was developed using the principles and structure of CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)®—a proven approach to performance improvement and the gold standard for software and systems development for more than 20 years, originating in Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute.

Over the last two decades CMMI has been adopted in over 94 countries, applied in thousands of organizations, and has directly impacted the professional development of over 150,000 people.

Melanie will provide an overview of the DMMSM model and how it can be used to enhance data management within government and business. She will be available to answer any questions relating to CMMI and the DMM.
